Why We Use Sunbrella Fabrics

design and Durability

Sunbrella's unique coloring process makes Sunbrella fabrics fade-resistant, even in the harshest marine environments. The fabrics are both beautiful and functional, tactile yet durable.  Sunbrella is resistant to degradation from both sunlight and chemical exposure. It is made with close attention to detail, easy to clean, and offers the latest in marine styling.

Protection

Sunbrella offers protection from the sun and salt.  Mold and mildew will not inherently grow on Sunbrella fabrics.  The fabric is woven for breathability so that it does not trap heat and moisture, eliminating mildew. The Skin Cancer Foundation recommends Sunbrella for marine shading products as an aid in the prevention of sun-induced damage to the skin.  Although this is a part of a complete sun protection regimen, including regular use of sunscreen, it is another way of helping to protect your skin.

environmentally responsible

Sunbrella fabrics is committed to environmentally responsible practices. Backed by initiatives with its vendors, trade partners and customers, Sunbrella can put its values into practice around the world.  Among other things, Sunbrella does not send waste to landfills and has received certifications for contributing to healthy indoor air. It is a product with low chemical and particle emissions and makes its fabrics without any identified harmful substance that could be a danger to health, skin and the environment.
